National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota: (Opens in a new window)

The National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota (NFBMN) is the state’s largest and oldest organization of the blind. We provide individual counseling, advocacy, and education through a number of programs. Most of our members are blind, and our knowledge of blindness comes from our personal lives and our collective experience.

NFB Free White Cane Program: (Opens in a new window)

The NFB is giving, free of charge to the user, rigid fiberglass canes. Any blind individual in the fifty states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico may request a cane for their personal use.

NFB Free Slate Program: (Opens in a new window)

The slate and stylus is the only Braille-writing device that has the same portability, flexibility and affordability as a pen and pencil. The NFB is giving free of charge, an aluminum 4-line, 28 cell slate with the Whozit logo, and a round plastic bulb stylus.
