Direct Employers Association and BLIND, Inc. Now Offer
Online Job Postings for Blind Minnesotans.
BLIND, Inc. is proud to announce the opening of its new online job listing system for blind Minnesotans. The system, which was developed in cooperation with the Direct Employers Association (DE) and the National Federation of the Blind Employment Committee, will provide current Minnesota job openings listed by DE members.
DE, a nonprofit membership organization composed of 900 employer members, emphasizes accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities in its members’ job posting and hiring practices. It conducts affirmative action seminars and training programs and works closely with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).
The job listing system is available only to legally and totally blind jobseekers and to professionals working with them. It is not available to other individuals or groups in Minnesota. Here’s how it works:
You can conduct a job search in three easy steps:
- click or enter on online job listing system (opens in new window)
- Enter a job title in the first field, and a location in the second field, and
- Hit the Search button.
That’s it. Below you will see how many jobs match your criteria. If you want more information on any of the results, you can enter on the link to take you to the full job description.
